Chandler Fire Station No. 281

This project consists of an approximately 13,800 square foot fire station including 4 apparatus bays, living quarters, commercial kitchen, administrative offices for captains and battalion chief, strength and conditioning facilities, major offsite street improvements and onsite improvements.  The owner originally pursued a LEED Silver certification on the project by incorporating numerous sustainable design aspects as well as the use of recycled and local materials, solar powered minimizing power consumption, increased thermal building insulation, waste management and landfill diversion.  The project is being constructed with several different types of integrally colored CMU, structural steel framing, bi-fold apparatus bay doors and steel parking shades and canopies.
